PETER TRAVERS '93 BRINGS THE IMPOSSIBLE TO LIFE
Although you may not have seen his name
in the credits, if you've been to a blockbuster
movie in the last 20 years, you've likely seen the
work of Pete Travers. Whether you've cheered
on Harry Potter as he soars above the Quidditch pitch,
or shrieked at the black, multitentacled Sentinels that lurk
beyond the Matrix, or watched Frodo fall prey to the
Dead Marshes in The Two Towers, you've been moved by
his magic. As a visual effects supervisor for Sony
Pictures Imageworks, it's Travers's job to make the
impossible look real.
