Capping of a stellar athletic and academic career, aerospace
engineering major and stand-out feld hockey player Celena
Dopart '12 was chosen as winner of the 2012 Capital One NCAA
Division III Academic All-America of the Year award for the
Women's At-Large division, as selected by the College Sports
Information Directors of America this past June. She is the frst
WPI student-athlete ever to receive this honor. At WPI, studentathletes thrive in an environment that encourages active
participation, no matter the task. From athletics to projects to
volunteering, a well-rounded student becomes a well-rounded
community member.
Leading her team to an impressive 11-7 record her
senior year, Celena Dopart graduated with a 4.0
GPA and was a two-time academic All American.
She is now a grad student at MIT.
